Research Team

Doctoral students from School Psychology and Clinical Psychology from the University of Kentucky and Indiana University-Purdue University participate make up our research team. Undergraduate students also have research opportunities and are included.

Alexis Rodgers

Alexis Rodgers is a third-year doctoral student in the school psychology
program at UK. Alexis's current interests include behavioral and social interventions for students with ASD, as well as interventions for those who care for and teach these students. Alexis is also interested in the implementation of evidence-based practices in school settings.

Jaxcy Odom

Jaxcy Odom is an undergraduate research assistant. She will assist Dr. Ruble and graduate level researchers with the current grant as well as other related projects. In order to supplement the current grant project, she hopes to investigate the issues for those impacted by ASD in the Kentucky Latino community during transition periods.

Wong Wing Hang, Venus

Venus Wong is a third year graduate student in the School Psychology program at University of Kentucky. She is interested in the implementation of evidence-based practices for students with ASD in schools and the burnout rate of teachers of students with ASD. She aims to promote quality teacher education and the use evidence-based practices in developing countries.

Teri Belkin

Teri Belkin is a 5th year doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology program at IUPUI.  She conducts research on caregivers of individuals with ASD (parents, siblings, and support staff).  Teri recently completed a meta-analysis examining the effectiveness of interventions for adults with ASD.  Through her clinical work and research, she aims to promote optimal well-being and quality of life for individuals with ASD and their caregivers. 

Yue Yu

Yue
Yu is a first year graduate student in the Clinical Psychology program at Indiana University-Purdue University, Indianapolis. She has a broad research interest in caregivers of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders and interventions in ASD.
